Escenio · Privacy policy · Last updated: 29 September 2026

This policy covers Escenio, UNQUINTO’s independent app for controlling lighting consoles and QLab, and support enquiries about it. Escenio is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android.

1. Controller and contact

UNQUINTO ESTUDIO EDITORIAL Y SONORO, S.L., Spanish tax ID B27688530, registered address: Calle Sol, no. 9, puerta D, 40332 Cobos de Fuentidueña, Segovia, Spain.

Privacy: contacto@unquinto.es. Support: developer@unquinto.es.

2. App, local network and website

Escenio has no advertising, analytics or tracking and requires no account of its own. It does not automatically send your connections, OSC passcodes, show content or diagnostics to UNQUINTO. No UNQUINTO server intermediates control.

The app does process data locally and exchange commands and feedback with the consoles and QLab systems you configure. Purchases use Apple’s or Google’s services. If you contact support, we receive your message and the files you choose to attach. “No telemetry” therefore does not mean there is no data processing at all.

Visits to this website are also covered by UNQUINTO’s website privacy policy and cookie policy, available in Spanish.

3. Data stored on your device

Escenio stores configured connections —name, identifier, profile, IP address, ports and associated settings—, preferences and unlocked product identifiers. It processes feedback from the connected system, such as show names, workspaces, cues, channels and timings, to display controls and provide diagnostics.

QLab OSC passcodes are kept separately from preferences: in the iOS Keychain with ThisDeviceOnly protection and, on Android, encrypted with an Android Keystore key. The Android credential file is excluded from the backups and transfers configured by the app. Ordinary preferences may be included in system backups.

4. Communications and permissions

Control communicates directly with the destination using OSC over TCP or UDP. Discovery and connection require local network access and applicable network permissions. You can manage permissions in device settings; denying them may prevent connection.

OSC traffic is not end-to-end encrypted. Protecting a stored passcode does not encrypt its transmission. Use systems you are authorised to control and a trusted network. Destination systems may process or log received data according to their configuration and their controllers’ policies. Escenio does not request location for these functions.

5. In-app purchases

Unlocks are processed through the App Store or Google Play. The app processes product identifiers, purchase status and technical transaction data needed to confirm or restore an unlock. It keeps available products locally. UNQUINTO does not receive card numbers or other payment-method details from the app.

Apple and Google process data under their own terms and may make sales and transaction information available to the developer through their consoles. Purchasing and restoring may require internet and a store account; that account is not an Escenio account.

See Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. This policy does not replace those services’ terms.

6. Diagnostics and voluntary support

Reports are generated on the device and are not sent automatically. They leave it only when you copy, export or share them. The app redacts passcodes in diagnostics, but a report may contain IP addresses, names, identifiers and production data. Review it before sending.

When you contact support, UNQUINTO processes your email address, message and attachments to respond and resolve the issue. The legal basis is to provide measures or services you request and, where applicable, the legitimate interest in maintaining and protecting support. Do not send passcodes or payment details by email.

We retain enquiries as needed to handle and document the issue, and subsequently for applicable legal obligations or the defence of claims. Afterwards they are deleted or anonymised. We do not use support enquiries for advertising.

7. Recipients

UNQUINTO does not sell personal data. Support messages are processed with email and service providers needed to respond, subject to applicable terms and safeguards. They may also be disclosed to authorities when legally required. Website hosting is covered by the general website policy.

If processing requires a transfer outside the European Economic Area, the safeguards required by law will apply, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

8. Local retention and deletion

You can delete a connection in the app; Escenio also requests deletion of its passcode. If the system prevents credential deletion, it may remain in secure storage. Uninstalling on iOS should not be treated as a guarantee that Keychain entries are erased.

On Android, Clear data or Clear storage in the app’s system settings removes local configuration. Settings names vary by device. Uninstalling or clearing data does not remove purchases from your store account, earlier backups or shared reports. Manage those copies and files where they are stored.

9. Rights and complaints

For data UNQUINTO receives through support, you may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability where applicable by emailing contacto@unquinto.es. You can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency. We do not make automated decisions or profile support enquiries.

UNQUINTO cannot retrieve from its servers settings held only on your device. Requests concerning data managed by Apple, Google or the connected system’s controller should be addressed to the respective controller.

10. Changes

Changes will be published here with their date. If a new feature changes processing, we will update the information and applicable permissions or notices.
